Necessitea was originally started in January 2003 with the realization that Americans were mostly subjected to terrible tea. Loose leaf teas were what was the most flavorful and since the inception has always been the way teas are consumed and distributed. Over the years, beautiful collaborations have happened between Necessitea and Fremont Sunday Market, Bebop Waffle Shop, Seattle Clothing Exchange, among many others.

Before the Pandemic, a message was received requesting information about Necessitea products on Amazon. It turned out that a tea company out of Inda was blantantly using Necessitea’s name, so it was officially changed to My Necessitea in 2021. Same Necessitea, just more personal and now featuring an actual tea room in West Seattle.
