Many of the delicious flavored teas that My Necessitea offers come through Canada for their final blending process. These wonderfully curated teas are now under the tariffs cost of 25%. My Necessitea made efforts to purchase stocks of tea to keep inventory steady for the 2025 sales season without increasing prices. However, if tariffs remain in effect by the end of the year, tea prices will need to go up to compensate for the extra cost of importing.

Similarly, teas that are purchased directly from other wholesalers may face the same issues with tea being imported from China. Many of our beloved flavors such as Golden Needle and Puer, will be subject to increased costs from our vendors.

Seattle venues who wholesale our tea have already started minimizing or outright closed, such as Bebop Waffle Shop in the Admiral area of West Seattle. We are looking for new local restaurants and cafe’s to become new wholesalers of our tea (especially local restaurants that are not serving excellent tea.)
